Somewhat on the Awake Side
Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers rolled through town Tuesday night. As always, the concert was incredible. I saw friends from past shows, met more fans, and had a great time.
There was predictably a lot of stuff from the new album, which is just fine with me as I’ve given it more than a few spins in the past few weeks. And there were still plenty of the old classics both from the days of the Refreshments (which is frighteningly in the decade ago category) as well as older RCPM songs.
Time flew, and before I knew it, it was well past midnight as all of us scary devoted fans stood out by the bus to see the band. As such, it was 2pm when my tired deaf self got home to bed.
And somehow I still got to my physical therapy Wednesday morning. And when I got home, I un-stopped the ears and spent a full day of work before crashing incredibly early. Another full day of work later and I’m finally feeling vaguely human again.
I hope the band comes on a Friday again sometime soon, but if that’s not in the cards, I’ll take them any day of the week! Just come back to Atlanta soon!
